Governor Radda Swears In New Permanent Secretaries

Katsina State Governor, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda, has sworn in four new Permanent Secretaries, reaffirming his administration’s commitment to merit, integrity, and fairness in public service appointments.
The newly appointed Permanent Secretaries are Malam Abdu Usman, Dr. Sani Suleiman, Dr. Shamsuddeen Yahaya Suleiman, and Dr. Hussaini Hamisu Yanduna. The swearing-in ceremony took place on Wednesday, August 5, 2026, at the Katsina State Government House.
Speaking shortly after administering the oath of office, Governor Radda stated that the appointments were based strictly on merit, competence and dedication to service, without regard to personal relationships, favoritism, or other forms of influence.
He urged the new Permanent Secretaries to discharge their responsibilities with honesty, accountability, and fairness, stressing that these values are essential to strengthening public administration and delivering quality services to the people of Katsina State.

The Governor also reiterated his administration’s resolve to ensure fairness in career progression within the state civil service, noting that merit would continue to guide promotions and appointments.
Furthermore, he called on senior government officials to mentor and train younger officers, emphasizing the need to build a highly skilled and professional workforce capable of sustaining efficient governance and driving the state’s development in the years ahead.
The swearing-in marks another significant step in Governor Dikko Umaru Radda’s efforts to strengthen the state’s civil service by placing competent professionals in strategic administrative positions to enhance government efficiency and improve service delivery across Katsina State.
