√ What Is the Purpose of Establishing the “Hausawa Zalla” Association?

In this article, we want to delve into a very important issue at hand but let us ponder on a pertinent question: What is the real purpose of establishing the Hausawa Zalla Association? Is it meant for good or evil?

One Hausa proverb has it that an early sign of madness is the drooling of saliva. Another one  also says, the sign of a good Friday is noticed earlier on Wednesday. Wise men say, knowing the origin is what prevents the dog from licking lime. They also say, show me your friend and I will tell you who you are.”

From all indications, there is no goodness, no truth and no integrity in the matter of forming this so-called Hausawa Zalla association. Why do I say so? Please be patient for a while,  gradually, I will separate the corn from the chap. At the end the truth shall prevail.

Firstly, why is it that those who are hell bent to form this association solely base  on social media, spreading vague, misleading and confused statements even before it is officially formed? And why is it that they behave deceitfully, constantly changing names, chumming out abusive, insulting and tribalistic tendencies in all their interactions with other fellows? Why are they harsh on anyone that criticize or disagrees with their views?

In a saner clime if an association is meant for good, the matter should be approached directly and legally. Instead of roaming around with insinuations, insults, accusations and attempts to incite hatred and hostility against other groups even before the association is established, they should simply go to the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC), submit their application, fulfill all the legal requirements and obtain proper registration in a straightforward manner, just as every genuine association does.

But no! Instead of that, the promoters of the Hausawa Zalla Association began weaving their cloth with rotten thread. Even before any formal step is taken, wherever one encounters them on social media, they are harsh – one easily notices their abusive, provocative and inciting comments aimed at creating division and disharmony in the society.

One will also notice that they do not tolerate questions or challenges that contradict their opinions. They resort to insults, abuse and conduct that reflects arrogance, discrimination and dark tribal hatred. And most of them keep their profiles locked on Facebook. More so, many of them use fake names on their social media handles. If indeed these fellows mean good, why are they disguising their real identities?

Another ugly behavior associated with these people is how they distort history, especially about Northern Nigeria. Instead of clearly stating their objectives, they resort to directly attacking the Jihad of Sheikh Usman Dan Fodio, condemning the entire Fulani tribe and openly expressing hatred and hostility toward Muslim clerics. They also speak of breaking the bonds among the peoples of the North, claiming it is in the name of defending Hausa interests.

On the other hand, something even more puzzling is that you will see them associating themselves with people of questionable character. They hate Islam, even though Islam is the religion most closely connected to the majority of the Hausa people. At the same time, they show sympathy with the Igbo and the Middle Belt ethnic groups. In reality, Hausa and Fulani are the peoples known to be deeply intertwined. This is because the two tribes live together, share similar culture, environment and religion. So what would justify creating an association that will generate conflict and disunity between two communities that have lived together for centuries? Communities that have intermarried, produced offspring together and merged into one another should have reasons that strengthen peace, trust and coexistence, not an association that will tear them apart with the poison of tribalism.

Can any association that truly intends good for the society display such dark behaviors toward others? Never! Indeed, there is something sinister, deadly hidden behind the scenes. But very soon, matters will become clear. People will understand the evil intention and agenda of this wicked association that has chosen to promote TRIBALISM in a society that desperately needs UNITY, SOLIDARITY and MUTUAL UNDERSTANDING.

Let us at this juncture take a pause. We shall continue in the next part, where I will present further reasons proving that, undoubtedly, the Hausawa Zalla is an association of Fake Hausas, deceitful people, troublemakers and it’s very clear, it did not come with good intentions but evil.
