Gen. Buratai Leads a Team to Niger Barack for Condolence

The former Chief of Army Staff, Lt. Gen. (rtd) Tukur Yusuf Buratai, CFR in a display of solidarity and sympathy has led a delegation of dignitaries to pay respects to the family of the late Lt. Gen. Taoreed Abiodun Lagbaja at Niger Barracks, Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.
During the solemn visit to the Flag Staff House, Gen. Buratai, who’s immediate former Ambassador to Benin Republic extended his deepest sympathies to Mrs. Maria Lagbaja, the widow of the late COAS, and their family.
He reflected on Lt. Gen. Lagbaja’s remarkable service, sharing stories of his good deeds and offering prayers for comfort and strength to the grieving family.
The delegation included notable figures such as Lt. Gen. Lamidi Adeosun (rtd), Maj. Gen. Iliya Abba (rtd), Brig. Gen. Sani Kukasheka Usman (rtd), and Alhaji Manzo Ahmed. Their presence represented a collective tribute from Nigeria’s military and civilian communities, honoring a leader whose life and service left an indelible mark on the nation.
