Dr. Aminu Garba Waziri

Barely two weeks after the historic unveiling of a powerful political coalition fronted by the African Democratic Congress (ADC), a political storm is sweeping across Nigeria’s power corridors, triggering sweeping policy shifts, party realignments, and an apparent panic in the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

Leading the charge is firebrand Katsina politician and ADC chieftain, Dr. Aminu Garba Waziri, who declared in an electrifying press briefing yesterday that “a wind of change has come, and it can no longer be denied.” Waziri, known for his fearless commentary and strategic political moves, outlined eight remarkable events that unfolded in rapid succession following the coalition’s emergence—events that many believe signal a new political dawn for the country.

Naira Cards Back on Global Rails: Dr. Waziri began by highlighting a sudden shift in monetary policy: “For over a year, Nigerians could not use their Naira debit cards for international payments. Now, within a short time of this coalition, the cards are reactivated. Coincidence? I think not.” Analysts agree that the move by the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) may have been influenced by the wave of political recalibrations ushered in by the coalition.

Fuel Price Drop, NNPC Makes Unlikely Move: In another unexpected development, the Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) announced a reduction in fuel prices. “Under a government that’s been resistant to price interventions, suddenly they are bending,” Waziri noted. “This shows they’re feeling the heat of the people-powered momentum we’ve ignited.”

FG Moves to Negotiate with Nnamdi Kanu: Waziri also pointed to a shift in the Federal Government’s stance on the detained IPOB leader, Nnamdi Kanu. “A government that has stubbornly refused dialogue for years is suddenly ready to negotiate? This is the ripple effect of coalition politics,” he said, emphasizing the coalition’s call for inclusive governance and peaceful resolution of national tensions.

Wike Goes Gaga: Turning to political drama, Waziri didn’t mince words: “Wike has gone gaga.” The embattled FCT Minister and ex-Governor of Rivers State was recently caught in a string of controversial public outbursts and erratic moves. “This coalition has rattled their comfort zone,” Waziri added.

APC in Disarray, NEC Meeting Called in Panic: In what seems like a damage-control operation, the ruling APC hurriedly called for an emergency National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting. “When a ruling party calls such a meeting within hours of a coalition announcement, they’re clearly shaken,” Waziri claimed. He said the APC is now scrambling to plug the leaks of discontent spreading within its ranks.

Labour Party Collapses into ADC: One of the most notable shifts is the formal collapse of the Labour Party’s political structure into ADC. Waziri described this as “a bold step toward unity and purpose,” saying it signifies the birth of a formidable third force with national reach and grassroots acceptance.

Northern PDP Structures Melting into ADC: Across the Northern states, particularly in Katsina, Kaduna, and Kano, several key PDP figures have reportedly begun merging their structures into ADC. “This is more than politics. This is a movement of the masses,” Waziri enthused. “We are reclaiming the North from recycled politicians.”

Tears on the Timeline, APC Influencers Break Down: Lastly, the ADC stalwart pointed to the social media space, where several high-profile APC influencers have been publicly lamenting the rise of the coalition. “They’re crying on the timeline because their propaganda is no longer effective,” Waziri quipped. “We’re changing the narrative and the people are listening.”
Ending with a rallying cry, Dr. Waziri shouted: “We Move!” to resounding applause from supporters. He reaffirmed ADC’s commitment to building a united, prosperous Nigeria, and promised “more surprises in the days ahead.”

As Nigeria’s political landscape begins to realign under pressure from this emerging coalition, one thing is clear: the next election cycle will be unlike any before it.
