Assalamu alaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuhu.
After extending my greetings and best wishes, I, Bashir Yahuza Malumfashi, Fasihin Galadiman Katsina-I, on behalf of myself, my family, relatives and friends, wish to extend special greetings and sincere good wishes to you, Senator Ahmad Babba Kaita along with prayers for your complete and speedy recovery.
I received the news that you are currently receiving medical treatment in a hospital. Therefore, we pray that Almighty Allah remains with you, eases this trial for you, grants you the courage and patience required during a period of illness and makes this illness a means of expiation for your sins and an increase in your rank and reward.
As a politician known for your concern for the common people and your efforts to assist those in need, we hope that this period of illness will only be temporary and that Allah will restore you to good health. Anyone who understands the value of good health knows that it is a great blessing whose importance is often not fully appreciated until it is lost. Therefore, we pray that Allah restores your health swiftly, so that you may continue your service to humanity and your good deeds.
The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) taught that no hardship or illness befalls a believer except that Allah makes it a means of expiating some of his sins. In Sahih al-Bukhari and Sahih Muslim, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
“No fatigue, illness, sorrow, harm, distress, or even a thorn that pricks a Muslim befalls him except that Allah expiates some of his sins because of it.”
This is a profound lesson for every believer: illness does not necessarily have to be a punishment; rather, it can be a trial, a mercy, and a means of drawing closer to Allah when a person faces it with patience and trust in Him.
Therefore, Senator, maintain a good opinion of Allah during this time. Know that Allah is the One who grants health and the One who has the power to remove every illness. Be patient and increase your supplications and remembrance of Allah. May this period become an opportunity for you to draw even closer to Allah and to reflect upon the blessings He has bestowed upon you throughout your life.
In conclusion, we beseech Almighty Allah, by His beautiful names and exalted attributes, to grant you complete and lasting health, cure every illness affecting your body and protect you from every form of harm. May He prolong your life in faith and good health, and bring you back home safely, peacefully, and joyfully.
Allahumma Rabban-nas, adhhib al-ba’s, ishfi anta ash-Shafi, la shifa’a illa shifa’uk, shifa’an la yugadiru saqaman.
O Allah, Lord of mankind, remove the affliction and grant healing. You are the One who heals. There is no healing except Your healing—a healing that leaves no illness behind.
May Allah accept our prayers, grant you lasting good health and make this illness a means of expiation for your sins and an elevation of your rank. Ameen, Ya Rabbal-Alameen.
