WATER PROJECT IN MALUMFASHI: COMMUNITY URGED TO SUPPORT GOVERNMENT

The people of Malumfashi Local Government Area and its environs have been called upon to be forward-thinking and to support the Katsina State Water Board and its Managing Director, Engineer Tukur Hassan Tingilin, in order to ensure the successful completion of the ongoing water pipeline replacement project for the benefit of the entire community.
This appeal came from two passionate advocates of Malumfashi’s development: Engineer Muntari Sagir and Alhaji Jibrin Sama’ila (Jibson). Their call followed a recent misunderstanding surrounding the water project being executed in the town.
The misunderstanding arose when the laying of new water pipes affected the frontage of some roadside shops, prompting complaints and discontent among some traders.
In an interview with our correspondent, Alhaji Muntari Sagir, Chairman of Muntasarab Construction Company, advised the people of Malumfashi and surrounding areas to exercise patience with the authorities and their representatives, especially regarding a project that stands to benefit the public. According to him, “This water project will benefit the entire community. People may not realize its impact and importance until later.”
Engineer Muntari further stressed that the people of Malumfashi should show support and encouragement to their representatives in government instead of disrespect and ingratitude.
“People should understand that it is Engineer Tukur Tingilin’s love for Malumfashi that motivated him to initiate this effort to improve the town’s potable water supply. What he needs is support and encouragement, not insults,” said Muntari Sagir.
He also commended M.D. Tukur Tingilin for his efforts in supporting the community, especially in the area of children’s education. However, he advised him to ignore his critics and avoid responding to provocations.
For his part, Alhaji Jibrin Sama’ila (Jibson), Chairman of NASAKA Company, also praised the ongoing water project in Malumfashi and lauded Engineer Tukur Tingilin for his commitment to seeing the project through.
“I am calling on some of the youths who use social media to insult elders to stop such behavior. What they are doing is wrong. Respect your elders, and if you have a complaint or suggestion for a government official, present it with wisdom and courtesy, not through insults,” said Alhaji Jibrin.
Certainly the Water project in Malumfashi is a remarkable development and the efforts of the initiators and those that stand firm in seeing its success should be encouraged and not to be insulted.When something of this importance is happening people should put sentiments and politics aside
