Women Group Congratulates Hon. Rabi Salisu
The Kaduna State Commissioner of Human Services & Social Development, Hajia Rabi Salisu has today received Hajia Risikat Toyin Muhammed and her team from the Women with Disability Self Reliance Foundation at the Ministry in order to congratulate on her appointment and to reassure her of their unflinching support.
Hajia Risikat took time to explain their activities which include empowerment of women in all the 23 LGAs, giving loans to members, Skills acquisition and many other benefits.
She also said that many of them are actively involved in politics and they massively voted and supported APC in the last election.
“I want to inform you our mummy that 3 of our members are vying for Councillors in the next Local Government election, and we want to plead with you to give us your blessing and support us in every way that you can when the time comes.”
The Commissioner expressed appreciation for the visit and said she was pleased with their entrepreneurial spirit that made them to be self reliant and a strong group.
She encouraged them to have an association that is exclusively for the girl Child so that they can have a sense of belonging in the community and governance.
“I want you to advice those vying for any position in next election to come out in good time so that Planning and modalities can be done.”
